About the Band
Bio
Miners and Gardeners is a musical act led by Dan Moriarty, an indie rock songwriter based in Minneapolis, MN.
Starting in 2021, Moriarty began releasing self-produced recordings from his home studio, inspired by the space between indie rock and folk — think REM, Death Cab for Cutie, Band of Horses, and The National, as well as classic acts like the Go-Betweens.
Miners and Gardeners' songs blend raw vocals with expansive arrangements, introspective lyrics, and quiet waves of sound that occasionally roar and bite. In 2024, Moriarty began performing his songs live, often as solo acoustic sets and occasionally with guests on guitar, violin, bass, and percussion.
His work can be also found on Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Spotify, YouTube and other online accounts. Contact us for booking inquiries or press.
